In 2020, we undertook a custom signage project to enhance Poole Park, a charming Victorian heritage site on the South Coast of England, with creative wayfinding and interpretive signs. The project featured ornate fingerposts, life-sized character silhouettes, and historically styled lecterns displaying park maps and illustrations, all celebrating the park's rich history.
Working in collaboration with consultants Imagemakers, who designed the artwork for the project, the custom signage commission was to enhance visual communication for Poole Park’s visitors. The primary focus was on aesthetics and longevity, ensuring the signage would be both functional and beautiful. It needed to withstand the test of time and weather elements in order to remain an enduring feature of the park for generations to come.
Using design sketches from Imagemakers‘ talented team, we manufactured structures in stainless steel with a durable powder-coated finish. The graphic panels were produced and printed in self-adhesive vinyl laminate, ensuring long-lasting vibrancy, resilience, and protection from the elements year-round.
We oversaw the entire manufacturing process end-to-end. Using precise metal fabrication for the steel structures and the print and production of vinyl graphics for interpretation signage. Our team expertly handled the installation and assembly of the signage. We ensured each piece of custom signage was perfectly positioned and securely placed to harmonise with the park’s surroundings.
The signage at Poole Park is a testament to how a creative-led approach can produce something truly special and unique. Visitors can enjoy the visually appealing wayfinding and informative interpretation signs year-round. This greatly enhances their park experience and connects them more deeply to the park’s history and beauty.
