Ken White Signs have a long-standing relationship with lmagemakers, working with Charlie who is the corner stone of our two companies working relationship, we have worked together many times on similar projects over a couple decades.
lmagemakers had been commissioned to deliver a bespoke, creative signage scheme to
improve visual communications with the public at Dawlish Town Centre. This one had the added ingredient of some digital communication which had to be woven into the product, this was going to test us.
Key was to find the balance between appearance and longevity once more, being a coastal site, it was very exposed and vulnerable. We came up with external structures manufactured in 316 marine grade stainless steel which needs no finish; all graphic panels produced in sub-surface anti-glare acrylic. Bespoke quality interior furniture was manufactured in ash, with fixtures and fittings dovetailing in beautifully.
lmagemakers produced initial sketches and we consulted at length to ensure it could be
produced in the materials they had chosen. Whilst we went about manufacturing all the
structures, working closely with our metal fabrication partner Morrish Engineering, timber partner Bridger Buss and digital partner API Communications; lmagemakers produced all artwork and audio for the graphic panels and sound devices. We print, apply and assemble all product. The fitting team headed by Simon, visits the site to install and assemble.
There is a certain familiarity with all lmagemakers projects; after working closely
with Charlie and later direct with the Oawlish client team, we installed a wonderful set of durable signage and interior furniture.
Over four years on and all still looks great. Charlie at lmagemakers remains a really good customer and colleague, still a very positive and creative partnership.
