It was fantastic to attend the Farm Business Innovation Show at the NEC Birmingham! We met so many passionate people who love what they do within the Leisure and Tourism industry. Thank you to all of you who stopped by to have a chat with us.
If you did attend the show, you may have seen our exhibition piece! We want to give you a better insight into the products we used with examples of where and how they can be utilised for a sign or graphics piece.

Masters House
Sandstone and Slate Engraving
During our exhibition, we wanted to show a really sophisticated and durable product that can stand the test of time. Engraving sandstone and slate involves using a sandblasting technique, which involves placing a mask over the sandstone, then engraving the text and graphics out of the stone using a sandblasting tool. Since stone is such a durable material, this is a very popular product to use for outdoor signs and structures.
The Donkey Sanctuary
Timber Engraving
Our engraved timber products can be left natural or can be filled, similar to the image above, with enamel paint. The product is then finished with high quality Osmo oils and coloured stains.
Berry Head
Etched Zinc
Etching zinc involves creating a positive film that is exposed against a coated zinc plate. The plate is then chemically etched to reveal deep and defined text and graphics, which is coated with a 2k paint system. These types of signs require very little maintenance for up to 5 years.
Romantica
Individual Lettering
This signage product is a great, unique way to showcase your brand without having to think too much about the artwork side of things. Lettering is great on its own with an illuminating LED light or against a graphic print background. Our production team either handcraft the 3D letters or use the latest laser, plasma and router cutting technology, depending on the sizing and materials used.
Dormakaba
Direct Printing
Direct printing is an incredibly versatile technique to use as we can print on a variety of different substrates such as plastics, dibond, painted metal, to clothes and merchandise. Printing on acrylic is especially useful and affordable if you want multiple signs produced.
Gloucester Cathedral
Sub-Surface High Impact Glass
The high impact glass consists of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), which is resilient to weathering and vandalism, being particularly useful for outdoor signs. Our design team design the graphics for the sign, then the print is encapsulated by the GRP. Due to being a highly robust material, the lifetime of the sign is in excess of 5 years.
We always use the highest quality materials and design systems so you can get a durable sign or graphic that will catch your audience’s eye! If you’d like to find out more about what we do here at Ken White Signs, feel free to give us a call on 01884 253795.
